This is by far my most complicated costume to date. All pieces of clothing (except for the pants) were hand crafted, patterns and all! The ranks on the hat and shoulders were hand sculpted and then cast in resin. I am truly proud of this costume! I spent a little over 4 months working on this piece. After cutting, dying, and styling the wig, I got to work on the beret. Using techniques used in the military to shape the beret, this is how it turned out
I created a pattern from scratch custom to my size for the base of the uniform.
This was after finishing the base of the armer, which I patterned myself. The armor is made out of craft foam and held together using rubber cement and hot glue.
Here is the armor with the accents added. I used foam and eyelets to create the accents.
After creating a pattern for the bags, I sewed the bags using faux leather, and foam for the details
Here is the finished chest armor. Painted using acrylic paint and sealed with flexible sealant. The uniform has also had accents added to it using the same method.

Finished by attaching the fully functioning bags to the chest piece and created the clasps using polymer clay. The straps are made out of hand cut leather.
